Repowered is proud to announce that we have signed a capacity-limiting contract (CBC) for the Vloeivelden Hollandia solar park in Nieuw-Buinen (Drenthe). With a capacity of 115 MWp, this is the second-largest solar park in the Netherlands!

Our role as a CSP

At this wind farm, Repowered serves as the Congestion Service Provider (CSP). The CBC was signed with grid operator TenneT. We are responsible for the full implementation and commercial management of the contract. This enables TenneT to quickly and reliably reduce the park’s output upon request. This process is fully automated, whether for scheduled maintenance or in the event of structural grid congestion in the region.

Flexible adjustments via CBC

During scheduled maintenance, part of the power grid will be temporarily unavailable. The CBC makes it possible to automatically adjust Vloeivelden Hollandia’s generation capacity in such situations via the GOPACS platform. This prevents overloading.

Once maintenance is complete, the contract will remain in effect. It will then be used for routine congestion management, which helps us prevent overloads on the Drenthe grid.

Fully automated

A key advantage of this solution is its full automation. TenneT can request power at any time. Thanks to our direct connection between GOPACS and the local facility, every request is processed quickly and reliably, without the need for manual intervention.

Collaboration among specialists

This project was made possible thanks to close collaboration between various parties. Repowered is the CSP for this solar park and is responsible for the implementation and execution of the contract. Additionally, TenneT, as the grid operator and contract partner, Novar, as the owner of the solar park, and Klaer, as the operational manager, are involved. The Balance Responsible Party (BRP) active at the park also contributed to the project’s realization.

With this step, we are once again contributing to a future-proof energy system: smart, flexible, and reliable.
