“I work as a Data Scientist on the Trading & Market Integration team. My focus is on developing smart control algorithms that help our customers get more out of their energy installations. That means I spend a lot of time working with energy markets, analyzing data, and solving complex problems. I also contribute to the development of the platform and the control software.”
An energy market that never stands still
“What makes my work so interesting is that the energy market is constantly changing. There are so many factors that influence energy prices. Precisely because these developments are difficult to predict, opportunities arise to manage the business more effectively and develop new strategies.”
“We also rarely work on the same project for more than a few weeks. Often, after just a few weeks, we’re already working on a new development or a new challenge. This keeps the work varied and ensures we’re constantly engaged with current events. That does require you to continually learn to recognize new patterns, conduct analyses, and respond quickly to changes.”
Never Stop Learning
“Although I was done with school after I graduated, I still enjoy solving new, complex problems. I get a lot of energy from searching for the best possible solution. And the energy market is the perfect environment for that!”
