Take control of your energy bill again. That’s what Repowered’s smart energy providers are here to help you do. But who are the people behind the company? Meet them in the series “The Energy Managers.” We kick off the series with Gerjan Wubs, coordinator of the Business Development team.
The position
“As a Business Developer, I spend my time acquiring new clients and partners, as well as managing relationships with existing clients and partners. Our partners vary widely, ranging from large clients such as sustainable project developers to battery suppliers.”
In addition, I collaborate with coordinators from other teams to share knowledge and identify synergies, and I ensure that the other business developers focus on what they’re good at and what energizes them. Finally, I’m involved in developing an action plan to bring in new business. The energy markets are very dynamic, so such a plan is constantly evolving.
The challenge
The constant evolution of the energy markets is what presents the greatest challenges in my work. You have to make sure you’re always up to date on the latest developments and proactively keep colleagues, clients, and partners informed. The energy markets are quite abstract. The key is to convey the information accurately and clearly to the various stakeholders.
Flexibility
Right now, we generate a significant amount of renewable energy in the Netherlands, but not always at the right time. Integrating flexibility into the energy system is the key to rolling out renewable energy. And that’s exactly what we’re working on at Repowered: ensuring flexibility in the energy system. From consulting to the actual management of installations within our energy contracts. This gives me the feeling that my work really matters and is taking the Dutch energy transition to the next level.
