“As Tech Lead at Repowered, I’m responsible for the technical development of our service platform. Our service platform, the Repowered Smart Energy platform, gives our customers greater control over their energy flows and costs. We provide them with access to various energy markets and intelligently manage flexible energy installations.”
Together with my colleagues on the development team, I build new services into our platform and ensure that the code’s quality, scalability, and innovative capabilities are maintained. I also contribute ideas to the development of new services to ensure that new concepts are seamlessly integrated into the existing code.
The challenge
We work with a rapidly evolving system that requires us to integrate all market developments and new business ideas. That’s where I see the biggest challenge. Because everything is interconnected, the platform’s complexity only continues to grow. This sometimes leads to unexpected programming challenges. In those situations, it’s important to proactively keep internal and external stakeholders informed of developments through effective planning and communication.
A close-knit team
The enthusiastic and close-knit team makes sure I enjoy going to work every day: my colleagues are deeply committed both personally and professionally. I find it inspiring that our work actively contributes to integrating as much renewable energy as possible into the Dutch power grid. Plus, I get to work every day in one of the most beautiful offices in Groningen: right on the Grote Markt!
