The Energy Regulators: Customer Success Team Lead Karin Nieboer


Understanding and managing your energy. That’s what Repowered’s smart energy providers are all about. But who are the people behind the company? Get to know them in the series “The Energy Managers.” This time, we’re talking with Karin Nieboer, Team Lead for Customer Success at Repowered.

“I’m responsible for the day-to-day operations at Repowered. Our operations team is currently focused primarily on new customers. Once a contract is signed, we ensure that the installations are properly managed. That onboarding process requires a lot of coordination with partners, such as consultants, installers, and Energy Management Supplier partners. In addition, we’re available to assist customers with questions or issues and monitor the proper functioning of the installations.”

The linchpin of the operational process

“An important part of my role is continuously improving our services. That’s a very broad area. For example, together with colleagues from sales and the development team, I think about how we can make data more accessible to customers and how we can better address the needs of customers and partners.”

I’m also involved in customer management. We’re growing quickly and have noticed that reaching out to new customers requires a very different approach than managing existing relationships. Looking ahead, we want to bring more focus and structure to that area.

“We say what we do and do what we say

“We’re growing fast and are a small, ambitious team in a market that’s constantly changing. Repowered has invested heavily in a strong product and continues to do so. What I really like about that is that we’re getting the fundamentals right first. You often see companies investing mainly in sales, while the product lags behind. At Repowered, it’s different: we say what we do and do what we say. As a result, there’s still a lot to be gained on the commercial and operational sides. That’s quite challenging, but above all, it’s a lot of fun!”

Working on something that matters

“I joined Repowered last May, and what struck me right from the start was how intrinsically motivated everyone here is. No one is here because they have to be; we’re here because we want to be.”

We contribute to addressing major societal challenges, such as traffic congestion in the Netherlands and the energy transition. By intelligently managing installations and optimizing returns, we make sustainable investments more attractive to owners. We are a commercial and ambitious company, but one that is committed to leaving the world a little better for the next generation—as cheesy as that may sound.

“The vision, expertise, and network of our management team are a huge source of inspiration. And there’s very little politics at Repowered: the Dutch down-to-earth attitude and pragmatic approach suit me well.”

The Power of Repowered

“For me, Repowered’s strength clearly lies in its people. Of course, our services and the way we optimize installations are cutting-edge, but none of that would be possible without this dedicated team. Collectively, we possess a vast amount of knowledge and a strong network. Everyone is constantly monitoring what’s happening in the market and how we can respond to it. It also helps that part of Repowered focuses on consulting. Those colleagues work on other projects, but together we ensure that we keep pushing each other forward.”
